Health tips 1: Record what you eat!

1. Record what you eat.
1.1) Write down what you eat and what time you ate !.
Write down everything you eat and the time honestly. This shows your eating habits/patterns. I also weigh myself every morning before I take shower and write it down as well. Knowing where you are and accepting your eating style are very important before you improve yourself. While doing this activity, you will be more aware of what your body is made of and will be able to change your eating habits wisely and easily.
This activity is also good for the people who want to lose weight because human beings has a tendency to do easier things. Since you have to write down whatever you put in your mouth, you may feel like “Oh, I don’t want to write it down and need to eat these now”. Therefore, you eat the only things you really need or want to eat, which is good.
1.2) Examine what you’re overtaking and what you are insufficient with.
With recent lifestyle habits if you don’t pay attention to what you eat, we can easily over consume animal fat, sugar, and caffeine. Besides you may be deficient of vitamins and minerals.
You can refer to the following websites to learn more about how much nutrition you need daily depending on your life style.
• Mayo Clinic Healthy Weight Pyramid tool: ★★★
• My Pyramid (United States Department of Agriculture):
The nutrition controls your mood and physical condition. Once you start keeping a journal, you will notice the relationship among the food, your mood, and physical condition. I keep writing a journal on not only what I eat, but also my weight, exercise etc., to monitor my progress.

Health is #1 priority and anything else follows.

When we are healthy, we don’t appreciate it much. Health has been always in my curiousity. I don’t know if it is because I’m from Japan where in the women has the longest life expectancy (average 86 years old) in the world and health is a more common topic over there, but especially after facing my father’s disease I started paying more attention to being healthy. Personally I tried many diets, various foods whatever I hear that’s good for health and various types of exercise.

Now I found my simple system to maintain health every day (including weight control, actually I lost 5kg in a year and half). This is something working very well with me. So, I hope that this is something useful for everyone. Our body and mind are just like a core of computer. With healthy body and mind you can achieve whatever you want.
